Rapids Vol. Fire Co.

What We Do:

   Founded in 1935, located in the hamlet of Rapids in the Town Of  Lockport. Rapids Vol. Fire Co. is a nonprofit volunteer fire and rescue service with 2 fire stations. One main hall located at 7195 Plank Rd., and our hall 2 located at 6131 Old Beattie Rd.  With 45 active members Rapids responds to approx. 900 calls a year. We serve Niagara County and a small portion of Erie county.  We protect portions of three towns Lockport, Royalton and Clarence Center. We currently have 2 Ambulance, 1 Fire Police Vehicle, 3 Pumpers 2 with Jaws of Life, a Grass Truck and a Medium Rescue Vehicle with walk in command post Water Rescue Equipment and Jaws, allowing us to cover fire, rescue and EMS.
